deep dark depressed excessive misery

Yea, I do keep getting more and more depressed, maybe, in a more optimistic mode a little less hopeful would be more accurate. I could sit here and complain about the Democrats in Congress, their leadership and all the other more guilty parties in the administration but I'm mostly disillusioned by us, the American people.

I've laid into the conservative tag-a-longs many times but I'm very disappointed in the inactivity of tight-lipped non involved progressives. I'm constrained by MS and poverty. I can't help but wonder if others have been constrained by bills, credit, relations, time and a variety of otherwise good excuses ( like mine because of health) but are we all placing personal entanglements ahead of duty to country and constitution.

We all have to get more involved in holding on to this nation that is our home. It's not the home belonging to the Neocons. It's our home and we must keep it.

There are many loyal Americans from the lowly to the accomplished to the privileged who have not only love and tradition rapped up in the good ole USA but also hope for their children. Hope, that they will have more freedom and more opportunities and more pride in this land that was handed down to us to care for; for them.

"BUSH lies" doesn’t cut it anymore. It’s time to confront the darker reality that we are lying to ourselves.

"Don't ever let anyone pull you so low as to hate them. We must use the weapon of love. We must have the compassion and understanding for those who hate us. We must realize so many people are taught to hate us that they are not totally responsible for their hate. But we stand in life at midnight; we are always on the threshold of a new dawn."
*
"Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must ever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force."
*
"Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice. Justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love."
*

"In struggling for human dignity the oppressed people of the world must not allow themselves to become bitter or indulge in hate campaigns. To retaliate with hate and bitterness would do nothing but intensify the hate in the world. Along the way of life, someone must have sense enough and morality enough to cut off the chain of hate. This can be done only by projecting the ethics of love to the center of our lives."
