Thousands Tricked Into a State of Fear

A little girl called us yesterday. She was a volunteer for Obama, calling those who might be interested in giving their time for something greater than themselves. We're supposed to do something on Thursday. I guess we'll call down and find out exactly what that is.

The McPalin people would have us believe that this little girl who is trying so hard to make a positive difference in her world is a terrorist sympathizer and an enemy of all that is the USA. I must admit I do find myself for the sake of people like that little girl, all Democratic supporters, Obama/Biden and their families, taking their accusations as a personal insult.

But it's not just our group that's being offended it's people like this lady who has actually been abused.

.
This little old lady actually believes what she's been told and is truly scared. She has been so flooded with lies she terrified that the US will be taken over by terrorists, that her and her families lives will be at risk, and that America will cease to exist. I'm sure she loves and believes ,whether they be family, friends, radio and tv personalities or politicians, these horror stories they tell her. There are thousands just like them who are tricked into a state of fear. That is truly abuse and that's shameful.

Fear has been used to manipulate the American people on many issues, with Iraq and the Patriot Act being among the most notable. Reactionary right wing radio and FOX news have participated with the government and corporate interests in getting a message out benifiting them, without regard to what's best for the United States. This is what propaganda is. It's illegal in this country. It's also why Rush, Sean and the rest of hate radio and FOX news are guilty of crimes against the American people along with complacency in war crimes.

.
Palin deserves special blame for the atmosphere of hate, violence and threats of murder that has developed around the slanderous lies of their political rallies.
